It's on by default on Team plans. On Enterprise plans, it turns on by default unless you've already disabled it. In organizations that have enabled HIPAA, the Claude in Chrome extension stays off until an Owner turns it on in <b>Organization settings &gt; Claude in Chrome</b>. Site allowlists and blocklists you configure there apply to both the extension and the built-in browser. The same list governs both, so there's no separate list to maintain. Users who already use Claude in Chrome keep it as their preferred browser. If Claude in Chrome is the preference, the session uses the extension. For web and mobile sessions to use Claude in Chrome, they must be connected to a desktop, but the app doesn't have to be
