With the launch of Claude Tag, we're issuing a one-time Claude Tag usage credit to eligible organizations - $25000 per Claude Enterprise organization and $2500 per Claude Team organization with at least 10 paid seats. Credits are issued automatically and are scoped to your organization's Claude Tag usage. The credit applies to Claude Tag usage in Slack channels, which is billed to your organization. It doesn't cover direct messages with Claude, which are billed to individual seats.
All promotional credits expire at 11:59 PM Pacific Time on September 1, 2026.
This article explains who's eligible, how the credit works, and when it expires. Additional offer terms apply and are available here: Claude Promotional Credit Offer Terms.
Eligibility
The promo is available to:
Claude Enterprise organizations, both sales-assisted and self-serve, on any billing type, including legacy contracts and AWS Marketplace / partner billing. Early access program customers are included.
Claude Team organizations with at least 10 paid seats.
The promo isn't available to:
Claude Enterprise organizations on a free trial.
Claude Team organizations with less than 10 paid seats.
Organizations that qualify after launch are still eligible. A new Enterprise organization, or a Team organization that reaches the paid-seat minimum while the promo is running, receives the credit when it qualifies. Credits issued after launch still expire at 11:59 PM Pacific Time on September 1, 2026.
Your organization's subscription must be active and in good standing when the credit is issued and when it's used.
How the credit works
Eligible organizations receive the credit automatically when the promo launches. There's nothing for admins or users to claim.
The credit is one shared amount per organization, not per seat.
What's covered: Claude Tag usage in public and private Slack channels (billed to your organization).
What's not covered: Direct messages with Claude in Slack (billed to the individual seat), and any non-Claude Tag usage such as Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Claude chat, or the API. For more details about how Claude Tag usage is billed and the difference between channel and DM usage, see What is Claude Tag?
Claude Tag usage draws down the credit first. Once the credit is used up, usage is billed to your organization as normal.
The credit doesn't appear as a line item on your invoice.
If your organization changes plans
The credit is a single balance whose cap follows your current plan. If a Team organization upgrades to Enterprise, the cap on the same balance increases to $25000 in total, counting what was already used. If an Enterprise organization moves to Team, the cap drops to $2500, and any further usage is billed normally.
Currency
For Team organizations billed in a currency other than US dollars, the credit may be shown in your local currency.
Track the credit in your organization
Admins can track usage of the promotional credit in Settings.
When the credit expires
All credits expire at 11:59 PM Pacific Time on September 1, 2026, regardless of when they were issued. Any unused portion is forfeited at expiration.
Temporary holds on eligibility
If we detect abuse, we may pause an organization's promotional credit while we review the activity.
