Who is eligible?
Individual Pro and Max subscribers who had an active subscription when the promotion started, September 23, 2026 at 2:00pm PDT.
You must sign in with your claude.ai account. The credit isn't available through Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or API key authentication.
Not eligible: Team and Enterprise plans, free trials, and accounts with a past-due payment.

How do I use it?
Connect GitHub, either with the Claude GitHub App or by running

Your credit is applied automatically.
You can use the credit on cloud sessions from web, desktop, CLI, or mobile. You can see your remaining balance in the usage menu.
Do I need to turn on usage credits?
No. You can claim and use your bonus credit without turning on usage credits. After the credit runs out, cloud sessions count toward your plan's usage limits. You're only charged for usage credits if you've turned them on and you go past your plan's usage limits.
Exception: On Pro plans, selecting Fable requires usage credits to be turned on with a balance. Your bonus credit is used first, but Fable will draw on your usage credits immediately after the bonus credit is spent.
How does the credit work with my plan limits?
While you have credit remaining, cloud session usage is paid for by the credit and doesn't count toward your plan's usage limits. After the credit runs out, cloud sessions count toward your plan's usage limits the same way local sessions do. There's no separate charge for the cloud container.
Exception: For users with Pro plans, Fable is only available through pay-as-you-go usage credits. The cloud session promotional credit can apply toward Fable usage, but once it is used, Fable usage will draw on pay-as-you-go usage credits.

One credit per account. It can't be combined with other offers.
If you downgrade your plan, you keep your credit.
