Claude Code and Cowork guest passes

Share a free seven-day trial of Claude (including Claude Code and Cowork) with your friends, family, or colleagues. Eligible Pro and Max plan subscribers have a limited number of guest passes to distribute—help others experience the power of Claude Code or Cowork while they explore whether it's right for them.

Each guest pass gives the recipient full access to Claude for seven days at no cost. Your guest passes are available for a limited time, so share them before they expire. Additional terms apply to the free trials that are given and the credits you may receive.

Who is eligible to send guest passes?

Guest passes are currently available to eligible Pro and Max subscribers only. If you're eligible, you'll see a notification about your available guest passes when you start a Claude Code session or a Cowork task. You can also check your passes in the "Claude Code" tab in your Claude settings, or the "Cowork" tab in your Claude Desktop settings.

How do I send a guest pass?

  1. View your available guest passes in Claude Code (using the /passes command), in your Claude settings under "Claude Code," or in the "Cowork" tab in your Claude Desktop settings.

  2. Copy your unique referral link to share with friends, family, or colleagues.

  3. Send the link via email, message, or any communication method you prefer.

  4. Track your remaining guest passes and their redemption status in Claude Code or your Claude settings.

You have a limited number of guest passes that expire, so share them while you can. If you share your referral with more friends than you have guest passes, redemption of the guest passes will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Passes have no cash value and are non-transferable.

What does my referral get?

When someone uses your guest pass link, they'll receive:

  • Seven days of free access to Claude's Pro plan, which includes Claude Code and Cowork

  • A simple signup process with guided installation

Referral recipients must be new to Claude paid subscriptions. They'll need to enter their payment information when signing up, but won't be charged unless they continue using Claude after the end of their seven-day trial. If they don’t cancel, their free trial will automatically convert to a paid Pro plan.

What happens after I've sent all my guest passes?

Once all your guest passes have been redeemed or they expire (whichever comes first), you won't be able to send additional passes. You can monitor the status of your passes—including how many are still available and which have been redeemed—in your referral dashboard.

How do I get my credits?

Sometimes guest passes will result in you receiving a specified amount of overage credits. If specified, you will receive a certain amount of overage credits once your referee converts to a paid user. The credits expire one year from the date of issuance. If the referrer downgrades to the Free tier, your credits will also become void. By participating in the guest pass program, referrers agree to parameters for usage credits as explained in our Help Center and our Promotional Credits terms.
