Use Salesforce in Claude

Salesforce in Claude is a plugin that brings your Salesforce accounts, opportunities, and pipeline into Claude. It bundles sales skills built by Salesforce along with the Salesforce and Slack connectors, so you can research an account, prep for a call, review your pipeline, and update Salesforce without leaving Claude.

Salesforce in Claude is available in beta on all paid plans for organizations Salesforce approves through its beta sign-up. It currently works in chat and Claude Cowork (web and desktop).

Get started with Salesforce in Claude

After your admin connects Salesforce for the organization, you just need to link your own Salesforce account so Claude can act on your behalf. If your organization hasn't enabled Salesforce in Claude yet, ask your admin to enable it. Learn more about setting up Salesforce in Claude for your organization.

To link your Salesforce account in Claude:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Plugins.

  2. Find and open Salesforce in Claude.

  3. Click "Add," then click the toggle to enable the plugin if your admin hasn’t already done so for you.

  4. Click "Add to Claude." You’ll see a modal with a link to the AgentExchange public listing.

Once connected, you'll sign in with your own Salesforce account. The first time you open the plugin, a setup skill runs automatically. It learns your role and book of business and personalizes the plugin's skills to you. You don't need to configure anything yourself.

Ask Claude a question or give it a task. For example, "Prep me for my renewal call with [account]" or "Show me my accounts that haven't been touched in 30 days."

What you can do

Salesforce in Claude includes 37 skills for the work account executives do daily, including account research, call prep, pipeline review, and CRM updates.

Some example workflows you can run are:

  • Renewal prep: Get a brief on an upcoming renewal, pulled from Salesforce, your calendar, and email.

  • Quarterly business review (QBR) decks: Turn account data into a draft QBR deck.

  • Pipeline coverage: Review your pipeline against coverage targets and see which deals need attention.

  • Meeting follow-up: Turn a call transcript or notes into a follow-up email and proposed Salesforce updates.

Review and approve changes to Salesforce

Salesforce in Claude only sees what your existing Salesforce permissions already allow. By default, Claude asks you to approve each proposed change before it's written.

To review and approve changes to Salesforce:

  1. When Claude proposes a change, it shows you the change before making it.

  2. Review the proposed change.

  3. Select "Allow once," "Always allow," or "Deny."
