Access Claude for iOS on your Lock Screen, Control Center, and Action button

The features described in this guide are available on iOS 18 and above.

Quickly access Claude for iOS functionality from your Lock Screen, Control Center, or Action button on iOS. This article will explain how to add the Claude app into these areas.

Add Claude for iOS to your Lock Screen

  1. Tap and hold your Lock Screen to open Customize Wallpaper

  2. Tap "Customize."

  3. Choose "Lock Screen."

  4. Click on an empty area on either of the two bottom circular slots.

  5. Scroll to add “Open Claude..”

  6. Click “Done” on the top right corner.

You’ll now be able to tap and hold to open Claude for iOS from your Lock Screen.

Add Claude for iOS to the Control Center

  1. Swipe down from the upper right side of your screen to open the Control Center.

  2. Tap & Hold to add a control

  3. Tap “Add a Control.”

  4. Scroll to add “Open Claude.”

You’ll now be able to access Claude for iOS from your Control Center.

Use the Action button to open Claude for iOS

  1. Open the Settings app.

  2. Go into the “Action Button” settings.

  3. Swipe until you see "Controls."

  4. Click "Choose a Control..."

  5. Scroll to “Open Claude.”

  6. Click back into Settings.

You’ll now be able to Hold to Open the Action button to access Claude for iOS.
